THE FEAST OF PEACE

On Sunday the 11th of September 2006, when Pastor J.A Shodeinde came back from the prayer mountain God had revealed to him that they are coming to demolish the tabernacle for the second time.

Ever before the Mallam Shehu Shagari administration the church had acquired some hectares of land at Igando which was later allocated to the N.Y.S.C by the Federal Government to be built as orientation camp for the youth corpers.
The church bought the land in the early seventies and it was taken over by the Federal Government in the eighties. God revealed to the man of God that they had gathered together for the demolition of the church but in the face of this open confrontation the members should not fight back.

On Monday September 12, 2006 they came and demolish the church just as God had revealed to the man of God and obeying the instruction from God the members did not fight during the confrontation. They demolish the church buildings and threatened to shoot the G.O and any member who dares to confront them .it was a day of wailing and crying for the members of the tabernacle as they watched their church being pulled down.

On Tuesday September 13, 2006, they came back to come and burn the chairs and other properties that had been pulled down.
The G.O Pastor J.A Shodeinde went back to inquire from God on the prayer mountain what the next line of action would be and God told him that he should gather the congregation together and inform them that if there is anyone who feels that the church is fighting too many battles and could not endure any more that person is free to leave and should calculate how much he has spent so far, the money would be refunded. As the congregation gathered under the sun listening to the man of God because the roof of the church has already been demolished a small baby fainted in the mother’s arm and the woman came running with the boy as he was already lifeless, the G.O told the mother to lay the boy’s lifeless body on the ground and that if God knows anything about the acquisition of the land by the church the Lord will revive the boy back to life while he continue to address the members, in a twinkle of an eye the boy that fainted came back alive and we all give glory to God.

The G.O, asked if there is anyone who is ready to go into spiritual battle with him, may be you have just got married and want to go for your honeymoon and felt that the church is fighting too many battles then such person is free to leave Deut.20:1:10, II Corinthians 10:3-5.Those who vowed to continue in the spiritual battle were divided into prayer groups and giving a particular day they will be having their vigil interceding for the church. It was that day September 12 and 13, a day of weeping and mourning that God has turned into the Feast of Peace to be celebrated every year in remembrance of the second demolition of the tabernacle, because God fought for us and had given us victory over the enemies of the tabernacle.

The land they want to chase us away from had eventually been given back to the church by the Government and a letter of approval and allocation had been given in this respect by the Lagos State Government.
